Biscotti was one of the first things my grandmother told me how to make. The family favorite was always Lemon Anise. I was making biscotti for a party and realized I did not have enough anise for the batch. I improvised with what I had in my cupboard. I chose the Chinese 5 Spice because it had anise in it. The result was a similar, yet at the same time distinctly different taste. It wasn't just good it was great.

Ingredients: Corn, Arrowroot and Rice Flours, sugar, Chinese 5 Spice (Cinnamon, anise, fennel, clove and black pepper), nutmeg, ginger, coriander, special pure orange extract (alcohol, water and pure orange oil), baking soda and kosher salt.
